Herman Miller George Nelson Collection
Herman Miller is re-releasing a range of cabinet and storage pieces designed by George Nelson. Nelson, who died in 1986, was one of the founders of American Modernism and he was Herman Miller's Director of Design from 1945 till 1972. The designs he made for the brand include the "Coconut Chair" and the "Nelson End Table". The Basic Cabinet Series was originally designed in 1946 as a system of practical storage areas to be used at home or in the office. For the reintroduction of the series, four chest-cabinet combinations will be available in either light brown walnut or natural oak.
