Carthusia fragrances originate from an old monastery on Capri. In 1948, monks discovered age-old fragrance formulas that were revived and developed into the current collection. Legend has it that the scents were first perfected as far back as 1380 when the monks began to discover the amazing fragrances of the many unique flowers on the island. Today the perfumes are kept to limited production runs to ensure the same methods and essences can be employed.
